What are Native Embrilliance Fonts?
Though we love all BX-installable fonts and the wonderful fonts of our many BX creators, there’s something special about ‘Native’ object-based BX fonts in comparison to the usual stitch-based BX. ‘Native’ fonts are fonts that have been natively digitized in Embrilliance StitchArtist 3. These fonts have all the features of the built-in fonts that come with Embrilliance Essentials.
Native fonts are object-based, rather than stitch-file based, meaning that you only need a single font to cover all sizes within the recommended range of sizes at which they can be used. Native fonts resize cleanly allowing Embrilliance to recalculate and recreate the stitches in each glyph at any size in any Embrilliance product. Native fonts can also be resized and allow for envelope usage even in the free Embrilliance Express Mode, unlike stitch-based BX fonts.Native fonts expand your creative and technical abilities with fill patterns and underlay options.
Native fonts are versatile, allowing you to change the type of stitch used to fill the glyphs, make adjustments to the automatic underlay, and, if you have StitchArtist 3, these fonts will allow you to convert them to editable objects if the publisher of said font allows. This lets you alter, customize, resize beyond the suggested boundaries, using glyphs in any way you want to create your own look.
Native, object-based Embrilliance fonts like those found built in to the software or in the Embrilliance font collections give everyone the chance to make stunning type treatments, and many allow conversion to objects to give digitizers the freedom to create anything they can imagine with these stunning fonts as a foundation.
